Thursday Thirsties at the Double

With four matches left, and needing to win at least two of them, the Golfing Society arrived at a cold and dank Wheatsheaf skittle alley in good spirits and left with the feeling that they had been "ratted" on.

Taylor (22) and Tinney (22) got the Golfing Society off to their customary good start, by pulling 3 pins against the home side.

However, this was to be the last time that the Golfing Society were to be in the lead, with Gibbs (12) and Williams (16) failing to find the front pin after one of the main floodlights failed, and lost 11 pins in the gathering gloom.

Lewis (15) unfortunately had used up all his luck on the Golf Course that day, and with Pinder (22) struggling in the sub zero temperatures, the match was lost by 12 pins to a jubilant Thursday Thirstie outfit.

Next week's match is at home on Thursday against Essilor. Start time TBA.
