In a low scoring game not helped by using the wrong bowls, the Golfing Society were unlucky not to extend thie winning streak to three matches.
Gibbo (20) and The Accountant (15) struggled with the mismatched alley balls, and lost nine pins against the oppositions opening pair.
With The Leprachaun(15) and Crabbers (25) tied up in "The Management" meeting, it was left to Ned (14) and The Capt (25) to try and reduce the arrears. Unfortunately they were only able to pull one pin to leave the Golfing Society still eight pins adrift.
The newly formed anchor pair performed well, and managed to pull back six pins but the match was lost.
Next weeks match is "away" to the Newtonians on Thursday.

Wot U Wots crumble to Golfing Society power play
With last weeks victory over the Puglers still fresh in the mind, a rejuvinated Golfing Society were looking for their first double of the season against a Wot U Wot side seemingly in freefall!
Gibbo (18) and Mr Wibbly (30) got the Golfing Society off to a good start pulling 15 pins, to give the middle pairing of The Leprachaun (27) and Crabbers (27) a good position to build on the lead by pulling a further 14 pins to see the Golfing Society almost out of sight.
The expected fightback from the Wot U Wots was not unexpected and they managed to pull back 11 pins against The Accountant (13) and The Capt. (36), but he Golfing Society were able to chalk up their second consecutive victory on the road and complet the double over the Wot U Wots.
Next weeks match is home to the White Hart A on Thursday 26th January when the Golfing Society will look to extend their winning streak.

Puglers fall to dynamic Golfing Society
Having lost to the Alley Cat Strays the previous week, the Golfing Society were determined to win at the Blackhorse against their old foes and start their climb away from relegation.
Miss Hap (15) and Gibbo (22) started well for the Golfing Society pulling nine pins to give the away side a slender lead.
The Leprachaun (19) and the Accountant (7) were disappointing, but only dropped five pins to give the anchor pair every chance of winning the match.
The four pin lead was to prove invaluable, as Ned (16) and the Capt. (24) only needed to score two pins with the last ball of the match to see the Golfing Society victorious in the league for the first time since September!
With another away match against the Wot u Wots the following week, the Golfing Society will be looking for their first double victory of the season.
