Skuttlers out skittle Golfing Society

Having not played the Skuttlers for a number of years, the Golfing Society new they were in for a tough match against the newly promoted side.

Dropping 11 pins did not get the match off to a good start, with Crabbers (22) and Miss Placed (22) losing 5 & 6 pins respectively against their opening pair.

The Accountant (20) and Mr Wibbly (21) had no luck and dropped a further 13 pins to leave the Golfing Society adrift by 24 pins.

The leprachaun (38) top scored for the night and showed the rest of the team, including the Capt (21) how the game should be played. But the pair were unable to pull any pins and the match was lost by 24 pins.

Next match is away to the Lone Rangers on Thursday 1st December at the Knot of Rope.

Golfing Society fall to Inlaws

Playing their second match of the evening, the Golfing Society were hoping for some better luck, but despite recording their highest home score for the season, lost the match by a slender 7 pins.

Mr Wibbly (24) made a welcome return to the team, and along with Miss Fortune (22) got the Golfing Society off to a steady start, but shipped 7 pins in the process.

Mr Wobbly (18) making his first start of the season, and the Leprachaun (36) top scoring for the home side pulled back 2 pins to give the anchor pair a fighting chance of winning the match.

However, the Accountant (19) and the Captain (34) were unable to pull back any pins, which left the Golfing Society wondering where their next win will come from.

Next weeks match is away to the Skuttlers on Wednesday at the Wheatsheaf.

Cup woe for Golfing Society

The Golfing Society were hoping for a good all-in cup run this year, but ran into an inform White Hart Colts side who ran out victors by a 20 pin margin.
