The Golfing Society lost this relegation matchup with Five + 1 only requiring 3 pins on the last up to win the match.
In a match littered with ducks, the low scores for both teams came as no surprise, but at least the Golfing Society were in contention right up to the end of the match.
Gibbo (24) and Miss Fire (16) excelled by pulling out a twelve pin lead, which the new middle pairing of Crabbers (22) and the injured Ned (17) struggled to keep, and eventually only dropped four pins to give the Golfing Society a slender 8 pin lead.
With the Accountant being held up by his sums, Mr Wibbly (11) was called into action, but he and the Capt (32) lost 12 pins, to leave the Golfing Society looking over their shoulders at the relegation threatened teams rapidly closing on them.
Next match is away to the Wot-U-Wots at the Plough on April Fools Day.

White Hart Colts over run Golfing Society
On another poor night at the office, the Golfing Society registered another twelve ducks, and consequently lost the match by 27 pins.
Gibbo (12) and the Leprachaun (13) struggled to impact the front pin for a change, and found themselves 22 pins down at the changeover.
The Accountant (21) redressed the books, and along with the Capt (20) pulled back nine pins to give the anchor pair the faintest sniff of victory.
However, despite Crabbers (23) top scoring for the Golfing Society, he and Ned (13) lost a further 14 pins to leave the Golfing Society stuck on only ten victories so far this season.
Next weeks match is home to 5 + 1 where the Golfing Society will look to get back on that elusive winning trail.

Bowker scores 6 ducks for Golfing Society
In a season where the Golfing Society have set many new records, here were two that were particularly unwelcome. A new low home score by the team of 108, and six ducks for Mr Bowker to equal the same feat by Barrell some years ago.
The match started well enough with Gibbo (21) and the Leprachaun (28) once more establishing a lead, from which hopefully the rest of the team could build on.
Unfortunately, the hapless Mr Wobbly (0) once again showed why he is a consumate all-in player by failing to trouble the elusive front pin, and lost 23 pins to his amazed opponent. This in turn affected the Accountant (13) who was unable to balance the books for the Golfing Society.
With the anchor pair now required to pull back 38 pins, Ned (29) top scored for the Golfing Society, but with the Capt. (17) still reeling from the shock of the middle pair, they could only pull back 4 pins to lose the match by thirty four pins.
Next weeks match on Tuesday away to White Hart Colts.

Golfing Society's luck runs dry against Thirsday Thirsties
The Golfing Society welcomed back Mike Tinney after a weeks absence, and the Leprachaun (34) didn't disappoint with the match's top score of the evening. Together with Gibbo (21) the pair pulled 16pins leaving the Thursday Thirsties staring defeat in the face.
However, Crabbers (10) and the Accountant (17) were unable to capitalise on the lead given them, and lost twenty six pins to give the home side a ten pin advantage.
Ned (23) and the Capt. (11) were once more undone by the presence of chip butties, and lost a further three pins, to seal an unlikely defeat by 13 pins.
Next weeks match is home to the Inlaws.

Puglers beat out of touch Golfing Society
The match did not start well for the Golfing Society with the first pair losing 30 pins, and ultimately the match by 28 pins.
Miss front pin (2) and Gibbo (15) struggled to impact on the front pin, leaving an uphill task for the middle pair of Crabbers (21) and the Accountant (14) who could only match their opponents on the long Black Horse alley.
With the Karaoke ringing in their ears, Ned (18) and the Capt. (19) could only pull two pins to hand victory to the home side.
