Having lost by just one pin in the corresponding away fixture earlier in the season, the Golfing Society were good value for their six pin home victory.

The "Management" final pair of Crabbers (29) and the Laprachaun (22) did enouth to keep the Golfing Society's nose in front, and to record their seventh victory of the season.

The Golfing Society face a hard match against the Ship A Hoys on Mondat night, but confidence is high, and if recent form is any indication then The Golfing Society will give any team a hard match.

White Hart Colts lose to Golfing Society.

The White Hart alley being both wide and uphill, has never been the easiest of places to win at. But for once, it was the home side that struggled as the Golfing Society romped away to a fine 29 pin victory.

Gibbo (22) and Crabbers (19) got the Gofing Society on the road to victory pulling twenty six pins between them.

The Leprachaun (24) and Ned (23) pulled another fifteen pins to give the Golfing Society an unassailable lead of forty one pins, leaving the Golfing Society's anchor pair to comfortably see out the match.

The Accountant (17) and the Capt (16) lost twelve pins, but the Golfing Society were home and dry, and continue in their efforts to pull away from the relegation zone.

Next weeks match is home on Thursday to the Odds and Ends.

Golfing Society thrashed by Thursday Thirsties

After the previous weeks win, the Golfing Society were hoping for the same again against the Thursday Thirsties, but were let down by poor scores and too many ducks.

Miss Alignment (11) and Crabbers (19) saw the Golfing Society get off to a poor start by dropping 23 pins.

Mr Wibbly (20) and the Accountant (26) sparked a revival, but could only pull back one pin, which left the anchor pair needing a major disaster to befall Meacham and Gordon. However it was not to be, and despite Ned (18) and the Capt (33) being the top scoring pair for the Golfing Society, a further 10 pins were lost to see the Golfing Society lose by thirty two pins.

Next weeks match is away against the White Hart Colts on Tuesday 14th.

Newtonians crushed by dynamic Golfing Society

The Golfing Society secured a notable second double of the season, by defeating the Newtonians and sending them to the foot of the league table.

Both teams were evenly matched with five ducks "scored" on both sides, however the Golfing Society held the edge after the first pairings, and cruised home to a magnificent three pin victory.

With the Leprachaun unavailable due to holiday "commitments", Miss Taken Identity (15) and Gibbo (26) saw the Golfing Society off to a shaky start by dropping ten pins against Nobby & Woody.

However, The Accountant (31) and Crabbers (29) turned the match on its head, and pulled back twelve pins against Sean and JD.

With the match finely balanced, Ned (29) and The Capt.(26) secured a "never in doubt victory" by pulling one pin over Dicky Lowe and Capt. "Birdy".

Next match is home on Thursday to the Thursday Thirsties.
