First round of our defence of the Bill Blakemore cup takes place on Thursday week (29th May) at the rugby club 8.30 start.

Our opponents are the Dog Bowlers.

Golfing Society leave Thursday Thirsties high & dry.

With Pinder and the Bearded Wotsit rested, it was a creditable result to win by 30 pins against the Thursday Thirsties.

Taylor(32) and Lewis (23) got the scoreboard ticking over, pulling 13 pins to give the middle pairing of the Leprachaun (31) and one putt Crabtree (32) a comfortable cushion which enabled them to pull a further 29 pins over their opponents.

Mr Pastry (5) and Pearce (27) lost 12 pins on the anchor leg, but victory was never in doubt.

Alley Cat Strays purr to victory

Relegation haunted Alley Cat Strays caused a turn up for the books by defeating 5th placed Golfing Society by 8 pins.

Taylor (35) and Lewis (31) could only manage a 2 pin lead against Love and Dean, which left Gibbs (18) and the Balding Wonder (16) with it all to do against Issacs and Markey.

Unfortunately, due to their own poor performance and exceptional luck for the Alley Cat Strays middle pair, they lost 15 pins.

Pearce (37) and Pinder (28) could only pull back 5 pins against the spin and guile of Kinnear and Webb, and the last home fixture of the season was lost.
