A low but winning score by the Golfing Society put paid to a determined effort by fourth placed La-Me-Dos. Whether the fact that the alley spot lights failed before the match attributed to the low scoring by both sides, it was nether the less another two point haul for the promotion chasing Golfing Society.
With Mr Wibbly resting from last weeks exertions, Chairman Leprechaun joined him on the bench ready to grab this weeks squatter's place in next weeks league encounter with F Troop.
Gibbo (21) returned to the side and along with Crabbers (13) and pulled seven pins to put the Golfing Society in pole position for the rest of the match.
The Accountant (23) and the Capt (24) were again the home sides top scoring pair, and grabbed a further twenty one pins to increase the Golfing Society's lead.
Cup captain Ned (17) sporting a very short haircut and beard trim must have left his normal accuracy on the barber shop floor, but along with the top scoring Builder (28) they only lost thirteen pins to secure the Golfing Society's fourteenth league win.
Next weeks match is at the Black Horse on Friday 8.30pm start.

Golfing Society snatch last gasp win over Hasslers 109 - 110
The Golfing Society bounced back from their recent defeat in the final of the All-In Cup, to defeat a tenacious Hasslers outfit by one pin at Almondsbury Social Club.
With Gibbo and Chairman Leprechaun unavailable, Mr Wibbly (20) stepped into the breech to play only his third match of the season, and together with the redoubtable Crabbers (11) they pulled three pins to set the Golfing Society off on the front foot.
The expected response from the home side was to no avail, as the top scoring pair of the Accountant (18) and tote winning Capt (27) dug in, and increased the Golfing Society's lead by a further four pins.
Cup Captain Ned (15) and the Builder (19) ensured there was no let up in the excitement, by first dropping eleven pins, but by capitalising on the home teams misses, pulled back the deficit to go back in front with the last three balls of the match.
Next weeks match is home on Thursday to La-Me-Dos, 8.30pm start.

All-In Cup Final - Golfing Society pipped by Jokers 190 - 201
In an entertaining but ultimately disappointing final for the Golfing Society, the Jokers first division experience proved the deciding factor in an eleven pin defeat for the second division outfit.
With Gibbo being rested, Chairman Leprechaun (34) and Crabbers (33) got the underdogs off to a terrific start by pulling ten pins to settle any nerves the Golfing Society may have had.
With Mr Wibbly along for support, and President Ron Holpin cheering for his old side, the Jokers began to exert pressure on the Golfing Society, with the middle pairing of Starting Price (31) and the Accountant (33) just hanging on to two pin lead for the anchor pair to defend.
However, the Golfing Society's brave challenge faltered, with the final pair of cup captain Ned (31) and the Builder (28) dropping thirteen pins to end their All-In Cup run for this season.
Despite the disappointment of becoming runner's up for the second year in succession, the Golfing Society can now turn their attention to the Front Pin Cup and maintaining their promotion push in the league.
Next league match will be next Thursday vs Hasslers at Almondsbury Social Club.

Golfing Society capsize Rafters 161 - 120
The Golfing Society fresh after their earlier victory in the Front Pin Cup, were again on form by winning this league encounter by an emphatic forty one pins.
Fielding the same side as earlier, the top scoring pair of Gibbo (34) and Crabbers (33) got the home side off to a fantastic start by pulling twenty four pins to ease the Golfing Society's fear that "you never win two games in a night!".
A stuttering performance by the Accountant (19) and the Capt (21) saw the middle pair drop one pin, to reduce the Golfing Society's lead to twenty three pins going into the final pairing.
The anchor pair put the icing on the cake, with cup captain Ned (23) and the Builder (31) pulling a further eighteen pins to record the Golfing Society's twelfth league victory of the season.
Next league action is versus Hasslers away at Almondsbury Social club next Thursday at 8.30pm.
Next cup action will be on Saturday at 8.30 at the Black Horse where the Golfing Society face the Jokers in the final of this years All-In Cup competition.

Golfing Society overwhelm Denzil's Elite 152 - 128
The Golfing Society progressed through to the last sixteen of this years Front Pin Cup competition at the expense of the third division side.
Cup Captain Ned masterminded another victory for the Golfing Society, who won by 24 pins in their first ever meeting with Denzil's Elite.
Gibbo (18) and Crabbers (25) got the early starting match away, and were unlucky to drop two pins in an evenly contested pairing.
Much the same happened with the second pair of the Accountant (28) and Starting Price (25) who managed to put the Golfing Society back in the lead by a solitary pin.
The top scoring anchor pair of Cup Captain Ned (30) and the Builder (26) settled the tie by pulling twenty three pins to send the Golfing Society through to the Third Round.

Golfing Society inch past Five + One to reach All-In Cup Final 224 - 223
The Golfing Society reached their second successive years All-In Cup Final at the expense of First Division Five + One in a memorable semi-final at the Black Horse Thornbury.
Cup Captain Ned's team selection was faultless as Chairman Leprechaun (43) and Crabbers (40) opened the tie with an impressive 83 pin haul, to thrust the Golfing Society into an ultimately match winning lead of twelve pins.
The middle pairing of The Accountant (30) and Starting Price (38) managed to cling onto the Golfing Society's lead with a good 68 pin total, only losing six pins to their first division opponents.
A missed spare opportunity proved critical, and the old saying "never start with a nine" proved to be true for Five + One, as Cup Captain Ned (32) and the Builder (41) were let off the proverbial hook by Five + One, needing five pins at the death could only score three pins, to leave the Golfing Society gasping with amazement and their opponents stunned by the miss.
The final will be an 8.30 start at the Black Horse where First Division Jokers will be the opponents, and the Golfing Society will be looking to go one better than last years runners up spot.
Next Front Pin Cup action will be at home on Thursday at 7.45 to Denzils Elite (TBC) followed by league two action against the Rafters at 9.00pm (TBC).
