Golfing Society fall to Alley Cat Strays

Yet another dismal defeat, on a night when the home team lost their way and almost posted their lowest home score of the season.

With Taylor missing, Lewis(29) and Tinney(15) stepped forward but were unable to put the Golfing Society in a winning position and lost 4 pins to Torville & Dean.

Crabtree (12) was misfiring on both barrells and Williams (21) was just shot, as Issac Malarkey pulled a further 19 pins to compound the Golfing Society's woes.

Pearce(26) and Pinder(16) fared little better, losing 7 pins to "Kinnell and the One Armed Bandit".

Another night to forget for the Golfing Society.

Next match is against the "Jokers" on Wednesday at the Legion Club, Rodway Road, Patchway.

Golfing Society fail to make cup final.

The Golfing Society were just edged out of a place in the final of the All-in Cup, when they lost by just 8 pins in a high scoring semi-final at the Blackhorse on Saturday evening.

Despite a good start from Taylor(24) and Lewis(28) the Golfing Society were 12 pins down after the first pairs had played.

Crabtree(33) and Williams(29) were able to pull back 4 pins but this still left the anchor pair 8 pins down.

Pearce(37) and Pinder(37) tied with their opponents and the Golfing Society's All-in cup run was over.

Next league match at home on Thursday, the Golfing Society are looking to avenge their early season defeat to the "one armed bandit" and his gang of Alley Cat Strays.
