Golfing Society lose out on Third Place Finish
The Golfing Society and the First Timers both finished the season level on 36 points apiece.
This then meant that third place would be determined by the greater aggregate away score.
The Golfing Society's total away score was 2248, but have been informed by the league "officials" that this was not enough and that we finished 4th in the league.
This means that we no longer have to go to the annual presentation night, which will of course be a huge disappointment to many.

Pinder and Pearce through to Second Round
On what was never going to be an easy match against Lansdown and Taylor (D), Pinder (45) and Pearce (44) reached the second round with only nine pins to spare.
This was particularly hard on the White Hart A pairing, whose score of 80 would have won them any of the previous matches.
The second round tie will be at the Black Horse at 8.40pm on Tuesday 8th May.
Any support would be welcome.

Pairs Competition
The Golfing Society's anchor pair of Pearce and Pinder have entered this years Pairs Competition.
They should have a good chance of winning as they will be starting on level terms, instead of pins down as is often the case !!
Their first match will be at the Wheatsheaf on Friday 4th May at 8.40pm against Lansdown and Taylor from the White Hart A.
All supporters welcome.
