With both teams wishing to avoid relegation, this was another "must win" for the Golfing Society.
Taylor(24) and Gibbs(20) cruised into an eleven pin lead, leaving Lewis (31) and Williams(20) to consolidate the lead by pulling a further four pins.
With a comfortable 15 pin lead, Pearce(19) and Pinder (22) suddenly found themselves 20 pins down after 4 ups! However with the First Timers anchor pair only able to add a further 6 pins against the Golfing Society's 18, the match was won by 7 pins.

Golfing Society scatter Odds & Ends
With games running out as the end of season fast approaches, this was a "must win" for the Golfing Society.
Taylor(24) and Lewis(24) did not disappoint, pulling a 13 pin lead for the middle pair of The Leprachaun(14) and a resurgent Gibbs (27) to add a further 5 pins to the overall lead.
With 18 pins to play with, Crabtree(19) and Pinder(33) were never in any danger of being caught and so the Golfing Society cruised home by 24 pins.

Wot-U-Wots snatch win
It was the golfing Society who were left wearing the Red Noses after their narrow 2 pin away defeat at the Plough Thornbury last Friday evening.
The opening pair of Taylor(26) and Pearce(25) lost 12 pins, and with the middle pair of Tinney(29) and Lewis(30) equalling their opponents score, it was down to the anchor pair of Crabtree(28) and Pinder(22)to retreive the game, but could only manage to pull 10 pins back by the end of the match.
Next weeks home match on Thursday is against the Odds & Ends with an 8.45pm start.

Golfing Society mix it up to beat Inlaws
With a string of defeats behind them, it was inperative that the Golfing Society did not lose to the leagues bottom side.
With an air hinting on desperation, Capt. Pinder decided to mix up the team in an attempt to secure that elusive victory.
Taylor(32) and Williams (18) pulled an impressive 22 pin lead out of the hat, and with Lewis (32) and Pinder (25) in fine form, the lead was extended by a further 6 pins.
Playing with the freedom that only a large lead can give, Tinney(26) and Pearce(25) were unlucky to leak just two pins, but saw the Golfing Society home to what could be the turning point of the season with a hard fought victory.
Next match is away in the league on Friday 13th to the Wot-U-Wots, where the Golfing Society are looking to continue their march away from the two relegation spots.

Golfing Society crash out of Front Pin Cup
With unavailabilities and poor form, the Golfing society were easily brushed aside by the Wot-U-Wots, who condemned the home side to a thirty five pin defeat.
Taylor (25) and Lewis (31) got the home side off to a good start, but were unable to pass on a lead to the middle pairing of Nobby Pearce (16) and Williams (21), who lost nineteen pins.
Pearce (20) and Pinder (17) were completely out of sorts and lost a further 16 pins to end the home sides interest in this years Front Pin Cup.

Jokers have a laugh
In yet another dismal away defeat, the Golfing Society were very much second best to the Jokers who strolled to a 3o pin victory over their lack lustre opponents.
Taylor (26) and Lewis (22) lost only four pins, but with Gibbs (15) and Williams (18) losing a further eighteen pins, it left Crabtree (17) and Pearce (36) to try and recover the lead all to no avail.
