Golfing Society win final match against Survivors

In the final match of the season, the Golfing Society were up against a strong Survivors outfit at the rearranged venue of the RBL Patchway. Having been defeated in their previous match with the Survivors, the Golfing Society were in determined mood to secure the final two points to avoid relegation to the 2nd division.

With Terry Taylor playing his final match after a long and distinguished career with both the Happy Wanderers and Golfing Society, it was with relief that the Golfing Society saw off their relegation rivals by seven pins to sign off Terry with a final notable victory.

Taylor(25) and Bowker(12) were good enough to give the away side a slender three pin advantage, and with Crabtree(24) and Tinney(19) the three pin advantage was maintained through to the final pair.

Lewis(14) and Pinder(31) pulled a further four pins to overcome a stubborn home team, and give them a valuable away win to hopefully maintain their position in the 1st division.
