Essilor blindsided by Golfing Society.

In this re-arranged match, the Golfing Society were looking to do the double over basement side Essilor, and thus cement their first division status for another year, by reaching the benchmark 24 points.

Essilor started well, and pulled out a small lead of 12 pins over Taylor(21) and Gibbs(20) who failed to find their form from the previous match against Essilor.

Tinney(33) and Crabtree(15) set about pulling back pins, and Essilor began to wilt under the pressure, and lost 8 pins to leave the Golfing Society just 4 pins down.

Unfortunately for Essilor, their re-arranged anchor pair failed to trouble the front pin, and with Lewis(24) and Pinder(25) the rejuvenated Golfing Society surged to a 27 pin victory.

With one match left, Tuesday's match against the Survivors who are also threatened with relegation, could turn out to be the make or break of the Golfing Society's season.
