Golfing Society see off Essilor

In the Golfing Society's final home match, a win was the only result that would help stave off the threat of relegation. With Essilor needing to win all their final games to also save them from relegation, the match was a must win for both sides.

Taylor(16) and Gibbs (27) were more than a match for their opponents and pulled 12 pins to set the Golfing Society on the road for a home win.

Tinney (23) and Crabtree (31) pulled a further nine pins to put the Golfing Society well ahead by 21 pins and only a disaster by the anchor pair would hand the match to Essilor.

Lewis (28) and Pinder (35) put hardly a foot wrong, and the Golfing Society coasted home by 26 pins.
