Golfing Society beaten by "one armed bandit"

The Golfing Society narrowly lost their local derby away to the Alley Cat Strays by three pins.

Unfortunately Taylor's (13) normal pin point accuracy deserted him on the night, but helped by top scoring Lewis (28) the pair only finished nine pins adrift.

With the wibbly wobblys not playing, Tinney (22) and Gibbs (26) set about reducing the defecit, but were only able to pull back two pins.

Pearce (22) and Pinder (23) were not on their usual top form, and despite Mike Webb suffering an arm injury during the game, were unable to pull more than four pins back.

Next weeks match is against the Blackadders at home on Thursday 9th October. Start time to be confirmed.

Capt. Pinder
