Terry Taylor (29) & Brian Gibbs (31) were unlucky to come off four pins down, but a resurgent middle pairing of Mike Tinney (37) and Rich Williams (26) quickly pulled back the deficit, and handed over a lead of 21 pins to the Golfing Society's anchor pair.
Vernon Pearce(44) started with a 10 spare and although Capt. Pinder (15) was well below par, they extended the Golfing Society's winning margin by a further 12 pins.
Next weeks match is at home on Thursday against the old foe of Stone CC.
