Golfing Society caught out by Stone CC

The Golfing Society were looking to beat last seasons champions for the third consecutive time, and for a time it looked on the cards with Taylor (32) and Gibbs (24) giving the home team a brief lead.

However, they finished up five pins down, and despite heroics by Lewis (28) and Crabtree (22) a further two pins were lost, leaving the Golfing Society seven pins down overall.

Pearce (34) and Pinder (24) were unable to pull the defecit back, and lost a further pin for the match to end with an eight pin win for Stone CC

This was a much improved performance by the Golfing Society, which should stand them in good stead for Mondays match at the Rugby Club against Mike Webb's Alley Cat Strays.
