Odds & Ends edge Golfing Society

With 5 wins needed from their final 10 matches, the Golfing Society were looking to do the double over their high flying opponents.

Taylor(31) and Tinney(26) launched the Golfing Society into a 5 pin lead with only one duck between them.

Gibbs(27) and Williams(28) were a solid middle pairing, outscoring their opponents and increasing the Golfing Society's lead by a further 2 pins.

With a slender advantage, the anchor pair of Lewis(25) and Pinder(28) were looking to consolidate their lead, but ran up against a pair who were on top form, eventually losing by 12 pins, to consign the luckless Golfing Society to yet another away defeat by 5 pins.

Next weeks match is a late start at the Plough next Friday. Please attend by 9pm for possible 9.15 start as the Wot-U-Wots have a cup match first.

Capt. Pinder
