Capt. Pinder (25) and Crabbers (28) battled manfully to contain the opening pair for the Inlaws and were unlucky to be just 3 pins down on the handover to the middle pair.
However the rover less lioness (14) and top scoring Mr Wibbly (31) were unable to keep pace with their opponents, and dropped a further six pins leaving the anchor pair with it all to do.
Ned (21) fresh from the hospitality of the local hospital, and the Leprechaun (29) still recovering from his recent trip to Tesco's mislaid a further twelve pins consigning the Golfing Society to the runner's up spot.
Unfortunately, the skills that had been displayed on the pool table for the hour before the match were somewhat lacking in the skittle alley, and the homeside were victors by 21 pins.
Next weeks match is home to the White hart Colts.
