Five + 1 Duck out against Golfing Society

On a cold winter's evening at a strangely deserted Blackhorse, the Golfing Society were good value for their three pin win over their newly promoted rivals.

The home sides opening pair struggled to score only seventeen pins between them, which allowed the Laprachaun (17) and Miss Grrrrrr! (22) to establish a 22 pin lead with only four ducks to their opponent's nine!

However despite Mr Wobbly (8) being duck happy, the match lead could have slipped away if Crabbers (32) hadn't used his holiday last week to hone his skittles aim, and the pair lost just fourteen pins to handover a well deserved eight pin lead to the Golfing Society's anchor pair.

With Ned (23) maintaining his position at the top of the averages, and the Capt. (34) at last beginning to find some form, they contained the home sides strong fightback to win by 2 + 1 pins.

Next match is home to the Puglers with a 7.45 start on Thursday 18th November.
