Double trouble for Golfing Society

Two matches on the same night proved too much of a hurdle to overcome, leaving the Golfing Society pointless at the end of the evening.

The first match against the Odds & Ends started well with Taylor (33) and Gibbs (24) giving the middle order a 12 pin lead. Bowker (7) and Lewis (17) lost 25 pins leaving the anchor pair with it all to do.

Pearce (29) and Pinder (30) could only reduce the lead by 7 pins, and the match was lost by 6 pins.

The second match against Essilor started badly with Taylor (14) and Gibbs (17) losing 15 pins, and the middle pairing of Tinney (27) and Lewis (22) losing a further 4 pins, to leave a deficit of 19 pins for Pearce (32) and Pinder (33) to recover. However, they were only able to pull back 2 pins, leaving Essilor victors by 17 pins.

Next match is All-in Cup at home on Thursday 8.00pm start.
