Gibbs puts spell on Wot-U-Wots

Things looked bleak for the Golfing Society when the first pair of Taylor (32) and Lewis (23) resumed their partnership at the top of the order, and promptly lost 11 pins.

The middle pairing of the in-form Gibbs (39) and the Irish strummer Tinney (20) were too good for their opponents and pulled 20 pins, to give the anchor pair of Pearce (33) and Pinder (23) a lead of 9 pins.

They were never headed, and cruised home by a winning margin of 13 pins.

Thanks go to the Wibbly Wobblys for their whole hearted support, and congratulations to the wizard Brian Gibbs for another top performance.

Next weeks match is on Tuesday at Almondsbury FC against our nemesis The Survivors.

Capt. Pinder
