Survivors see off Golfing Society

On an alley where the Golfing Society have never known success, the hoodoo struck again and the Golfing Society were well beaten by 15 pins.

The opening pair of Taylor and Lewis were unable to capture their form of previous times, and and consequently lost 9 pins to give the middle pair of Gibbs (18) and Tinney (17) a mountain to climb.

Unfortunately the ascent proved too difficult and the anchor pair of Pinder (18) and Pearce (22) were unable to pull more than 3 pins back from the deficit of 18 pins and the match was lost.

Thanks go to Terry Taylor for completing the score sheet, Ned Lewis for collecting the money, Howard Bowker for cheering from a far, and Rich Williams for captaining the side on the night.

Next match home to The Gamblers on Thursday 1st November.

Capt. Pinder
