In their final away match of the season, the Golfing Society travelled to the Wheatsheaf and came away with the points. The relegation threatened Roaring Twenties needed to win, but so did the Golfing Society with a top three place in the league up for grabs.
With Taylor making a late withdrawal from the team, it was Gibbs (14) and Lewis (22) who got the team off to a great start. The wibbly wobblys (Bowker 9) and Williams (24) consolidated to give the anchor pair an 8 pin advantage.
Making no mistakes, Pearce (24) and Pinder (20) plundered a further 6 pins to breeze home by a comfortable 14 pins.
Next week's matches at the Rugby Club, will start at 8.00pm against the Odds & Ends and 9.15pm against the White Hart Colts to conclude the season.
