Thursday Thirsties dry up against Golfing Society

For the second week in a row, the Golfing Society picked up valuable points over high flying opposition.

With Terry Taylor unavailable, Capt. Pinder brought in experienced campaigner Brian Gibbs (24) to partner Ned Lewis (28), who between them pulled 3 pins over the opening home pair of Sansum and Wilcox.

The "wibbly wobblys" (Bowker (21) and Williams (23) ) made no mistake in pulling a further 13 pins after a shakey start, over Gardiner and Pearce.

This gave the anchor pair a 16 pin cushion for Pearce (20) and Pinder (25) to cruise home by nine pins against Meacham and Gordon who fought to the very end.

Congratulations go to Ned Lewis for this weeks highest score.

Next weeks match is home to the White Hart Colts.

As you are hiding behind the cloak of anonymity, all I can say is that there is a no-blame culture which I am keen to promote.

But if I find out who posted this, you're on the chalks for the rest of the season !!

I agree with you Captain Pinder. This is a team game and we are all in it together, one for all and all for one! Your selection and team management this season has been spot on. Better than that T***** managing the Rugby Club 3rd Team. Does this guarantee selection for next week?

Absolutely...................not !!

Will bribery work then if flattery does not?

Unaccustomed as I am to bribery, it would seem churlish to refuse.

No........sorry I'm going to be churlish !!
