The Service put away by Golfing Society 95 - 70

At a jam packed Almondsbury Social Club, the Golfing Society maintained their recent good form to remain in third place in division 2 and bagged two valuable points to leave the Service rooted at the foot of the table.

A valuable opening stand of 24 pins enabled Gibbo (9) and Chairman Leprechaun (15)  to pull five pins to open up the Golfing Society's account.

This was followed by the top scoring Accountant (22) and Capt (19) amassing a top scoring pair total of 41 pins, to give the Golfing Society a lead of fourteen pins to defend, going into the final pairings.

Cup captain Ned (12) found the alley particularly difficult, but with the Builder (18) steadying the ship, they scored 30 pins to pull a further eleven pins to see the Golfing Society to victory by twenty five pins.

Next week the opposition will be the Rafters, with a 9pm start after the second round Front Pin Cup match against Denzils Elite at 7.45 on 6th Feb. (to be confirmed).

This Saturday (1st Feb) the Golfing Society are in the Semi Finals of the All-In Cup at the Blackhorse with either a 7.30pm or 9.00pm start (to be confirmed).
