Golfing Society gun down the Lone Rangers 213 - 193

On a night of All-In Cup quarter final action, the Golfing Society saw off a determined Lone Ranger outfit by twenty pins to ease their way into the cup semi finals.

Chairman Leprechaun (31) and Starting Price (32) turned around a good Lone Rangers start to draw at 63 pins apiece to leave the home side well placed for victory.

The Accountant (39) and the late arriving Gibbo (33) made no mistakes to add a further 72 pins to give the Golfing Society a valuable 9 pin lead going into the final stage of this keenly contested match.

Cup captain Ned (37) and the Builder (41) came out with all guns blazing to pull a further 11 pins to knock the first division side out, and leave the Golfing Society looking forward to their second successive semi final on the 1st Feb at the Black Horse Thornbury.

Next league action will be at Almondbury Social Club against the Service on Wednesday 29th Jan at 8.30pm.
