The Golfing Society celebrated the New Year with a welcome away victory at the White Hart, Olveston by trouncing the White Hart A team by 10 pins.
Fielding an unchanged team for the first time this season, Gibbo (26) and Miss Converse (13) were able to pull two pins to give the Golfing Society a deserved lead at the first changeover.
Unfortunately it was a case of after the Lord Mayor's show for last weeks top scorer, as the Leprauchan (7) struggled to clear his head after the New Year celebrations and therefore took this weeks wooden spoon. However Crabbers (28) came to the Golfing Society's rescue with a top score to leave the Golfing Society just four pins down at the next changeover.
With the home side ruing their poor form, Ned (25) and the Capt (28) kept the pressure on and cruised home to a well deserved team victory.
Next weeks match is home to the Alley Cat Strays on 13th January.
Capt. Pinder
