The Golfing Society were at home again for the first fixture of the second half of the season.
Having lost the first match by seven pins, the Golfing Society were keen to impress the large crowd of supporters, but unfortunately Gibbo (5) had a rare offnight, and although the Leprachaun (26) improved on his recent poor form, the Golfing Society were 14 pins down at the changeover.
With the Gamblers just behind the Golfing Society in the league tables, it fell on Crabbers (26) and The Accountant (23) to shuffle the pack and come up with a winning combination. This they duly did by pulling 20 pins to give the Golfing Society a six pin lead.
Ned (31) and The Captain (36) made no mistakes, and pulled a further 29 pins to see the Golfing Society home for their highest home league score of the season (147), to win by a massive 35 pins.
Next weeks away match on Tuesday has been postponed and will be played at a later date.
