Golfing Society roll up Widgeemakers

The Golfing Society for the second year in a row faced 5th division opponents in the first round of the All In Cup. Having been turned over in last years first round, the Golfing Society were hoping that lightning does not strike twice.

With Mike Tinney (29) back to his eloquent best, and Howard Bowker (31) showing that he is an accomplished all-in player, the Golfing Society surged to a 17 pin lead.

Capt. Pinder (28) and away alley specialist Kim Fox (28) comfortably contained their opponents, but did manage to drop a pin in the process to give the final pair a sixteen pin cushion.

The golfing duo of Ned Lewis (35) and Stuart Crabtree (32) safely negotiated their way to the 19th hole, by pulling a further 19 pins to see the Golfing Society through to the next round by 35 pins.

Next weeks league match is home against the Puglers, with an 8.30 start.
