Lone Rangers win by 17 pins

At the quiet venue that the Plough has now become, the Golfing Society lost by 168 - 151.

Fielding a much changed team, the Golfing Society opening pair of Taylor and Tinney could only raise a single pin advantage for the middle pairing of Gibbs and Crabtree.

Unfortunately, they could not hold on to the slender lead, eventually finishing 17 pins down.

Despite a valiant effort by the nights top scorer Pearce (37), and Pinder were unable to claw any pins back, and the team were left to rue their luck in the deserted public bar afterwards.

Next weeks home match is against the White Hart A.

Capt. Pinder
